Kalimantan is the Indonesian part of the island of Borneo, the 3rd largest island in the world. The Indonesian part covers some 580.000 km2 (225.000 sq mi), the vast area is home to only 12 million people, so most of the provinces, especially the interior is very sparsely populated, and the vast rain forests here is some of the most bio-diverse areas in the world.

3. Balikpapan is famous as oil city and historical tourism destination where in this province there were the oldest hindu kingdom in kalimantan namely in Kutai kertanegara also this province is wellknown with the beautiful under sea panoramic such in Berau area.

Floara & Fauna :
The Borneo rainforest is 130 million years old, making it one of the oldest rainforests in the world and 70 million years older than the Amazon rainforest. Borneo is very rich in biodiversity compared to many other areas. There are about 15,000 species of flowering plants with 3,000 species of trees, 221 species of mammals and 420 species of birds. Subject to mass deforestation, the remaining Borneo rainforest is one of the only remaining natural habitat for the endangered Bornean Orangutan. It is also an important refuge for many endemic forest species, as the Asian Elephant, the Sumatran Rhinoceros, the Bornean Clouded Leopard, and the Dayak Fruit Bat.
Climate :
Kalimantan has a tropical climate with the average temperature ranging between 23 and 31°C. The island has a high annual precipitation, around 300 mm per year, with a light rainy season between March and May, and a more intense one between November and January. Precipitation levels are however considerably lower than many other neighboring parts of Indonesia.
Reach by plane :
1. Sepinggan International Airport (IATA: BPN) near Balikpapan is the primary airport on the Indonesian side, and fields flights from Kuala Lumpur (Air Asia) and Singapore (Silk Air) as well as many Indonesian cities, but there are no direct flights from the tourist hub in Bali.
2. Syamsudin Noor Airport (IATA: BDJ) is a regional airport located in South Kalimantan, has a good connection to major cities in Indonesia (Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta), Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Denpasar/Bali, Makassar, Balikpapan, Pontianak).
Passport & visa :
Passport and visa will be required during your check in in the hotel, airport and object destination to apply visa on arrival can be done in the main gate international like in jakarta even if using Garuda indonesia they give visa on the fly.
Languages :

Rare Birds Hunting [05D]

On this tour we will give the new experience to find the swamp rare birds and local birds of Borneo island likes Pink-Nacked Green Pigeon, Little Green Pigeon, some kind of Bulbul, Long-Tailed Parakeet, Chestnut, Bellied Malkoha, Coucal, Trogon, Hornbill, Barbet, Woodpecker, Minivet, Leafbird, Babbler, Flowerpecker, bentiungan (gallinula chloropus), ketikusan (porzana cinerea), burak-burak (amouromis phoenicurus) and etc.

We assist you to find the birds with our local guide who has experience to catch the birds using the traps that makes the birds catch alive  especially for Amourmis phoenicurus (burak-burak bird) using their traditional pipe to make sound of the bird.

Itinerary :
Day. 01 . :  Airport - Kumai - Probiscus Monkey Tour-House Boat (L, D)

Uppon arrival at the airport, meeting service then Proceed to Kumai to get our boat. Onboard, crossing Kumai river in approximately 15 minutes to reach Seikonyer river, the main river in National Park. Lunch will be served on the boat.Passing the river with full of probiscus monkeys to observe.dinner and overnight on the boat.

Day 02. : Houseboat - Pasalat river - camp leaky - Houseboat (B, L, D)
After break fast on the boat then at 6.00am cruising to river pasalat to observe the birds on the park likes Horn bill, King fisher, Little green pigeon, parakeat, chestnut, flowerpecker, etc. lunch will be served on the boat, then proceed to sei konyer river we will cruise to camp leaky to visit the orangutan camp and looking for feeding time there, dinner and overnight at the houseboat.

Day 03. : Houseboat -Kumai-Airport - Banjarmasin  (B, L, D)

After breakfast on the boat, boating down to Kumai then transferred to the airport for Banjarmasin, Arriving at Banjarmasin then meeting service with the guide then drive to Hotel in Banjarmasin, lunch at local restaurant then afternoon at 03.30 pm joining the canal tour to observe the local people hospitality and their way of life. Backto hotel, dinner and free program.

Day 04. : Hotel - Floating market - Bird hunting - Hotel (B,L,D)
early morning at 05.30 am leaving hotel fo visit floating market, breakfast will be served with box takes about 1 hour to reach the market then joining the traders in the market for about 1 hour afterward continue to bird hunting program in the local people garden or ricefield close to the floating market to find birds like burak-burak (Amourmis phoenicurus), tatikusan (porzana cinerea), belibis (Dendrocygna sp), lunch on the site with box while waiting for the traps in the field, At afternoon back to hotel, dinner and free program.

Day. 05 : Hotel - Transfer out - Airport (B)
Breakfast at the Hotel, then free program till the guide will transfer your to airport for your next destination. Tour end.
